Speech Synthesis Solutions

Oki Semiconductor Speech Solutions offer a variety of products that can be categorized in two main groups: Playback only and Record/Playback devices.

Playback-only devices offer flexibility in terms of memory needs. There are devices available with internal memory (Mask ROM, P2ROM, Flash, OTP) and those that support external memory only.

Mask ROM devices are mainly targeted for high-volume applications that can benefit from low cost achieved by large-scale production quantities.

P2ROM devices offer advantages similar to Mask ROM devices, but without the requirement for high-volume production. In addition, since there is no need for mask creation, the turn around time after modifying content is a lot shorter than Mask ROM devices.

Flash and OTP devices are targeted to small-volume applications or where there is a need to customize the playback content on a constant basis.

Record/Playback devices support only recording to external memory, thus the amount of recording time is constrained only by the amount of external memory allocated for such purpose.
