ML7065 Zigbee (IEEE 802.15.4) Single Chip 2.4 GHz RF, PHY, and MAC for Low-Data Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks
Documents
Description
Oki Semiconductor's ML7065 is an integrated single chip solution, which has a 2.4 GHz radio (PHY) and Media access control (MAC) layer for low-data rate wireless connectivity for home, business and industrial applications. This low-cost, low-power wireless single chip solution is IEEE 802.15.4 compliant. The ML7065 includes the complete IEEE 802.15.4 MAC, which reduces the requirements for a network/application processor. This solution was developed to provide wireless connectivity for PAN gateways, remote control for digital homes, and sensor data loggers.

ZigBee Standard
ZigBee is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, which defines robust radio (PHY) and medium access control (MAC) layers. Above this layer, ZigBee defines the Network layer, ZigBee Device Object, and interoperable Application Support layer. The Network layer supports the peer-to-peer, star, cluster-tree and mesh network topologies.
