Oki Semiconductor is committed to being a
good corporate citizen in the communities in which we do business.
Oki Semiconductor has been a leader on the Nikkei Kigyo Advisory Committee,
an organization which promotes United Way fundraising in Japanese-owned
companies in the Silicon Valley.
Oki Semiconductor partners with the Family Giving Tree, a non-profit
organization which provides gifts to underpriveledged families. As well,
Oki sponsors activities to benefit a range of other charitable organizations,
including Habitat for Huminity, American Cancer Society, and American Heart
Association.
A spirit of community involvement is encouraged among OKI
Semiconductor employees, too. This past Christmas, OKI employees gave toys, plus
donations of cash and food, to the Sunnyvale Community Center's annual Toys for
Tots drive. The toys and food were distributed to needy families in the
Sunnyvale area during the Christmas season.
